Multiverse
[Series of 9 paintings: Acrylic on prepared paper]
This painting series is based on the notion of the multiverse. The various universes within my constructed multiverse can be referred to as parallel dimensions.
The compositions are triggered by images sourced from sci-fi movies, comics and magazines such as National Geographic, COSMOS and New Scientist. I approach the making of these paintings as if composing a musical montage where both high and low are attempting to form a temporary unity; a collaboration of influences that can just as easily be shattered as integrated.
